We found Le Grand Val to be welcoming, the room comfortable and relaxing. We also enjoyed our meal which in our case was Tex/Mex ! We appreciated being able to park in the garage below.

We liked the service and secure underground garage which was well worth the extra 5 euros per night.

The hotel was excellent value for money and as we were only passing through on our way to Switzerland we cannot really answer any of the above questions. The hotel was clean and well equipped and the reception staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We would certainly use the Hotel Le Grand Val again should we be passing through Chaumont again.

We cannot really fault the hotel for the money as we have paid a lot more for a room and not been as comfortable as we were at the Hotel Le Grand Val.

Pleasant welcoming staff - good dinner in restaurant - good value for money. Just right for a one night stopover, easy to find, good parking. Convenient for LIDL.

Too far out of town to walk there - nowhere scenic to walk nearby.

The food in the restaurant in the evening was good, The position on the outskirts of town was also very good for a quick stop off en route with our journey, wished I had found one more in the centre to have a look around.

The room was over tired, although for the price it was very good.

Exactly as expected from a 2 star hotel, rooms small, basic but clean. Decent beds and restaurant, Texas Grill, food tex-mex with a french feel....no problem. Extensive free parking.

Used the hotel as a base to explore an area of France which we hadn't been to before. Excellent breakfast, good sized room with small balcony and usual 2* facilities.

Availability of meals within complex. Lift useful for luggage carrying. Helpful staff.

Hotel was a great value and the staff was helpful. Beds were very comfortable compared to other hotels. Lidl grocery store directly across the street for supplies. Would stay here again despite the negatives.

Shower could stand to be cleaned better which makes me wonder about the cleanliness beyond the bathroom.

Good car parking/garage and easy to locate alongside major access road into Chaumont

A good Hotel to stopover - we were travelling between Beaune and Reims so was the ideal place to stay overnight.

Address on website was incorrect as we found when we rang hotel.
